Kason is a fun loving 12 yo who loves Roblox and sleepovers. His twitching started at 10 yo. His frustration showed as doctors and teachers weren’t seriously concerned. He struggled making it to school as mornings are the worst time for his yet undiagnosed Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. His grades dropped drastically until one day shortly after his 12th birthday.
The bus driver found him collapsed halfway between the house and his bus stop. We got him to the doctor that day and got his neurologist appointment. 4 neurologist appointments, and 3 Cardiologist appointments later we are still waiting for the final diagnosis and possible outcome with treatment plan. Kason stays upbeat and adjusts to all the medications and life changes while keeping everyone around cheerful and appreciative.
